Departure of Changing Woman
Inspired by a story in the Navajo mythology story of Changing Woman's departure to the west. Changing Woman is a central spirit who embodies the cycles of life and seasons, and represents fertility and rejuvenation.
The Sun, with tender longing, asked Changing Woman to join him in the west, to build a life together. But Changing Woman’s heart held a deep wisdom. She sought not just union, but balance and equality. Finding harmony within themselves, will bring harmony to the universe. With a gentle goodbye to her loved ones, Changing Woman set forth to her new home - a floating sanctuary beyond the shore, where she would dwell in perfect balance with The Sun.
