Spider Rock
Spider Rock, is a sandstone spire that rises 750 feet from the canyon floor of Canyon De Chelly, located on the Navajo Reservation near Chinle, Arizona. According to traditional Navajo beliefs, the taller of the two spires is the home of Spider Woman. She was first to weave the web of the universe. She taught the Navajo how to weave, how to create beauty in their own life and to spread the "Beauty Way" teaching of balance within the mind, body & soul.
